Climate change and food security: the need to build resilience through ecological farming systems

Some of the impacts of climate change already appear to be visible. Unfortunately, it is the urban and rural poor who are the most vulnerable to climate shocks and their subsequent impacts. The new geography of agriculture means that all eyes are now on countries like Brazil, India and China who together produce and consume the majority of food on the planet. These countries are also among those where climate change impacts are likely to be the most severe.
